Fills my Soul

Brian and I went to visit our son Cam this evening.  Actually, we were invited :)  We have been trying to find a date to have a tour of the university, and so when Cam called last evening to see if we were free today, we jumped at the opportunity.

He is quite proud of his new  jacket.  He's one of the "Aggies" :)  Sporting his attire, he took us on a walking tour of the part of the campus where he spends most of his time.  I find it so helpful to now have a picture in my mind of where he is at times throughout the day.

What followed was every mother's dream...when her boy makes supper for HER!!!  It was a fun reversal of roles to watch him preparing vegetables to saute, and then turn to me to ask if I would dice up tomatoes.  We enjoyed delicious fajitas with a spicy Korean pork.  The veggies were fresh from the market that morning :)

There is something so very meaningful about sitting around the table talking and sharing deeply spiritual experiences as adults.  God has such a hold on Cam's life and is moving in him in some very powerful ways.

The way his heart is so bravely open to  a life of ministry way beyond comfort zones.

The way he so willingly and flexibly lives on a daily basis.

The way in which he seeks to know God and His truth.

The way he is moving into a deeper life of prayer.

It is humbling to sit back as a parent KNOWING that only God could accomplish all that you are witnessing.

For a short time we retired to the living room while Cam played keyboard and sang.  Sigh.  Oh how it fills my soul to have moments of worship because of the abundance of Christ's life within him.

So very grateful for our time together.

Blessings on your life my boy.
